Xbox Gaming in South Africa

You know how you can tell who the host of a Gears of War 2 match is? Because it's the guy running around shotgunning everyone else in the face, with no care in the world. To address this issue, perhaps, it's being rumoured that Epic Games is implementing a dedicated server system for Gears of War 3.

Of course, that could cause issues for local players, since with no official Xbox LIVE presence in South Africa, we're unlikely to get our own servers. Which means playing internationally. Which means getting shotgunned in the face anyway.

When queried on the matter by CVG, Epic's Cliff Bleszinski would say only that it's "just a rumour".
