Xbox Gaming in South Africa

It looks like this rumour just won't die. According to Kotaku's deep cover industry spies, Gears of War for Kinect is a real thing, and it's an on-rails shooter.

Sources apparently familiar with the project told Kotaku that a demo version of the game re-used some assets and events from Gears of War 2, and even provided an image from one of the older concept demos, below.

A Gears of War title reveal - which Epic's Cliff Bleszinski described as "not what you're expecting" - was set for the Spike TV VGA's late last year, but yanked at the last moment for vague reasons about timing.

More recently, a trademark filing for something  as-yet unannounced and unconfirmed called Gears of War: Exile turned up on the interwebs, although it's unclear whether this is related.
