Earlier in the week, EA announced a multiplayer beta for the upcoming military shooter Medal of Honor. As it goes these days, the multiplayer beta is only open to those who pre-order the game from selected retailers. And guess what? South Africa is included.
Although the official site doesn't list South Africa, XG contacted EA South Africa who've assured us that all the major retailers will be participating in the promotion. Here are just a few places you can get a beta key from:
Note: Other retailers are participating, so check with your local games shop.
The beta was meant to kick off on 21 June on the Xbox 360, however, according to a blog post on the official site, it has been delayed by a few days to an as yet unspecified date. We'll keep you updated on when it starts, but until then, make sure you get your pre-order in to secure yourself a place.
Here's the low down on what you can look forward to in the multiplayer beta, according to the press release, along with a sneak peak at Medal of Honor's multiplayer gameplay:
The Medal of Honor multiplayer beta features two heart-pounding modes set across two maps inspired by real world locations: Helmand Valley and Kabul City Ruins. In Team Assault mode, players must rely on their raw skill and map knowledge to stay alive in intense and close quarter combat. In Combat Mission, a tactical and team-based mode, gamers fight through a series of objectives revealed through an engaging narrative. Both modes pit two teams of 12 players (total 24 players) against one another with realistic destruction, tactical support actions, and a weapon customization system with modifications that generate hundreds of combinations.
