Xbox Gaming in South Africa

The local Xbox LIVE community is growing at a rapid rate thanks to the introduction of Xbox LIVE in South Africa, and with more online gamers comes the need for more p0wning... I mean online tournaments. Enter Ultimate Game Battles.

Ultimate Game Battles is a new "online tournament and ladders system where console gamers can compete for sponsored prizes and also run casual ladders where players can keep track of their progress in our system," according to founders Shane “DaRkBlAdE777zA” Harmse and Sam "T3ROR ZA 360" Reed, with the aim to boost the local online community through regular tournaments.

There's already a few casual and sponsored tournaments taking registration, covering games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2, FIFA 11, and Gears of War 2, so if you're interested, head on over and check it out over here.
