Well, it wasn't exactly a shocker that Bungie came out waving Halo 3: ODST for the crowds, but they did bring along some new bits of gameplay footage to prevent a riot. Looks like we'll be playing through several characters, including "The Rookie" and "Dutch", and packing a new scoped pistol for mini-sniping. Apparently a new co-op mode dubbed "Firefight" will be on demonstration later in the week, while the game finally has a release date set for 22 September. That leaves just enough time to get that skull on Sandbox then.
Hot off the rumour presses over the last few days, Halo: Reach was finally officially unveiled. It appears to be some sort of prequel to the original Halo, and it's due out sometime late next year. The good news is that Halo 3: ODST ships with a Halo: Reach multiplayer beta key. Huzzah!
