Update: And it's now official. Get all the details over here.
Original Story: According to French fan site Halo Destiny, more downloadable content is on the way for Halo: Reach. Entitled the Defiant Map Pack, the DLC is said to bring three new multiplayer maps to Halo: Reach, one of which will be for the Firefight mode.
While my French isn't that great, here's what Google Translate has come up with for the description of each map (with a bit of tweaking on my end):
- Unearthed - Firefight map that is more open, perhaps even bigger, than Beachhead.
- Condemned (8-12 players) - Multiplayer map that supposedly takes place on the ship UNSC Savannah, which was destroyed in the "Long Night of Solace" campaign mission, and takes place in space.
- Highlands (8-16 players) - Another multiplayer map, supposedly big enough for all game modes, including Invasion, featuring a Covenant cruiser in the process of glassing the planet.
Microsoft and Bungie have yet to comment, but we'll keep you in the loop. In the meantime you can check out the leaked, and rather blurry, images showing off the new maps over here.
