Original Story: It's a week to go for the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta, but in the meantime, you'll be able to watch a 60-second live action short showing the transformation of some guy named Carter 259 from, like, some guy into a Spartan super-soldier.

Directed by indie award winner, Noam Murro, Birth of a Spartan "gives viewers a unique look into the origins of a central character in the upcoming blockbuster game."

It's dropping tomorrow over at www.welcometonobleteam.com, and on Wednesday, an extended version hits Xbox LIVE for Gold subscribers.
