Halo Wars sells over 1 Million, DLC in the works

Microsoft announced today that the Xbox 360 exclusive, Halo Wars, has managed to sell more than one million units worldwide. This makes Halo Wars the best selling real-time strategy game on any of the current-gen consoles. No easy feat when looking at the track record of RTS games on consoles since the beginning of the generation. It seems the simple RTS controls and gameplay, as well as with the Halo franchise to back you up, anything is possible. Come to think about it, these days, all you really need to do is add the Halo name and you’ll do just fine. Microsoft must be proud.

Even though Ensemble Studios isn’t around anymore to join in the celebration, Robot Entertainment is. With more than 200,000 Halo Wars fans having played multiplayer online over Xbox Live, the community is vibrant and strong. To support this community, Microsoft is working closely with their partner and newly formed studio, Robot Entertainment, which is comprised of Halo Wars& and Age of Empires veterans from the former Ensemble Studios. More Halo Wars content is being prepared, so expect some DLC coming your way, hopefully, in the not too distant future.

Any guesses as to what the DLC will be comprised of? I'm thinking the addition of a full Covenant campaign, which is sorely lacking. Now wouldn’t that be legendary.
