Codemasters has confirmed that Indian media corporation Reliance Big Entertainment has invested in a 50% stake in the UK based developer/publisher, according to a report by MCV.

Reliance Big Entertainment, through its gaming division Zapak Digital Entertainment, is focused primarily on casual gaming and MMOs - an area that Codies will be looking to capitalize on with this new deal.

"Reliance and Zapak have immense resources and will help us realize the full potential of our game coding and online excellence across so many platforms, and especially in the world's fastest growing markets," said Codemasters CEO Rod Cousens. "The future of Codemasters has never looked brighter. It's a whole new game!"
