Adam "Kane" Marcus and James Seth Lynch are coming back - WITH A VENGEANCE, etc - on 27 August, and here's to things working out this time around. The dysfunctional duo are taking on Shanghai's criminal underworld in a style, according to the press release, "inspired by documentary filmmakers and the user-generated era".

"We believe the unique visuals and relentless gameplay has created an intensity never delivered in a videogame before," said Niels Jørgensen, general manager of IO Interactive, carelessly repeating pretty much the same stuff they said about the last game. "In a genre where so many games look and feel the same, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will make people double-take. We think it's going to make quite an impression."

The sequel also features new online multiplayer modes - Undercover Cop, Cops & Robbers and Arcade - alongside the returning Fragile Alliance mode.
