Considering how regularly we hear the word "delayed" in the gaming industry, it's almost disconcerting to hear that a game will in fact be arriving earlier than expected. For a change, that is exactly the announcement that IO Interactive has just made, revealing that Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will arrive a week ahead of schedule, coming to the UK (and probably South Africa) on 20 August.
"The team has worked hard to deliver a game that’s different from the current trend of third-person shooters and we're so pleased to be able to share it with the world ahead of schedule," said general manager at IO Interactive, Niels Jørgensen. "With development now complete, why keep people waiting any longer? We want to let gamers experience the game we’ve created and get them online betraying their friends in Fragile Alliance, so we have decided to bring the release date forward by one week."
The upcoming shooter sees notorious criminals and bff's Kane and Lynch taking on the underworld of Shanghai over an intense 48 hour period. That's like that show 24, but, like, double the action. We'll reserve judgement until the game is in our hands.
