Can't wait to get your hands on Kinectimals? Well, Microsoft has finally announced that Kinect will launch in Europe, Middle East and Africa on 10 November 2010.

Before you get too excited though, feedback from a Microsoft South Africa representitive suggests that the local release will be delayed by several weeks, perhaps to give the specially trained mail-leopards time to transport the hardware over here. Or something. I've no idea why we have to wait for everything.

The device is on show this week over at Gamescom in Germany. Speaking at the expo, Microsoft VP of Interactive Entertainment Business, Chris Lewis, had a bunch of quotable stuff to say:

We are bringing the Kinect experience to Europe for the first time at Gamescom because this is the biggest show in the region and we’re committed to investing in Europe and the critical role it plays in Xbox’s global success. With Kinect launching on November 10, it’s set to not only transform our business but also change how we use entertainment. With Kinect, YOU become the controller, giving you the choice in how you and your friends navigate entertainment and gaming experiences. We’re already seeing a high level of anticipation in Europe with sales of the Kinect ready Xbox 360 250GB creating an all-time record weekly market share.

Fifteen games will be launching alongside Kinect, including Kinectimals, Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, Kinect Joyride, and other game titles starting with "Kinect" for the recommended retail price of £129.99 in the UK and R1999 in South Africa.
