Kinect pricing and bundle officially announced [Update: SA pricing]

After much speculation and rumour, Microsoft has finally revealed the pricing on their upcoming motion controller Kinect. Bundled with Kinect Adventures, Kinect is set to retail for $149.99 in the US or £129.99 on the other side of the pond, with games such as Kinectimals, Kinect Sports, Kinect Joy Ride and Dance Central retailing for $49.99 or £39.99.

In addition to the sensor's pricing, Microsoft announced the Kinect 4GB Holiday Bundle, which includes the new Xbox 360 S 4GB console and Kinect for $299.99 or £249.99.

With pricing finally confirmed, will you be purchasing yourself "controller-free fun" with Kinect this November?

Update: Microsoft SA has confirmed pricing for South Africa, and you may want to sit down for this. Kinect + Kinect Adventures will be retailing for the steep price of R1,999.99, while the Kinect 4GB Holiday Bundle is set at R3,699.99. Kinect games will retail for R399.99.

Thank god I have no interest in Kinect,I'd also much rather they confirm the pricing and release date for the Xbox 360 S.

Wait, is it April Fool's Day or am I merely dreaming? R2000 for the Kinect is laughable especially when you can pick up a brand new console with games for a tiny bit more.

That's just rediculous, asking so much for Kinect.. watch it crash and burn locally with a price like that, unless the games are somehow as magically magnificent as a tapdancing unicorn.
