Update: And it's official: Saints Row: The Third coming Holiday 2011.

Original Story: THQ's third addition to the sandbox-style action adventure franchise Saints Row will be titled Saints Row: The Third, according to leaked images over on NeoGaf.

A quick WHOIS reveals that while the contact details for the domain SaintsRowTheThird.com isn't viewable, the DNS servers do point to THQ.com.

The artwork - which looks pretty legit - is apparently intended for an upcoming GameInformer cover, which will presumably include the first real look at Volition's new game.

Taking a closer look at the images reveals what looks to be 3rd Street Saints' Johnny Gat, as well as the city of Stillwater in the background. The final image to be posted includes the tagline: "Strap it on holiday 2011".

Saints Row 3 was originally scheduled to debut at E3 last year, but was yanked at the last minute to allow Volition to "rebuild tech". It was, however, officially announced earlier this month, but little is known about the title which is currently scheduled to release autumn 2011 (spring over here).
