Alan Wake: Bright Falls

Microsoft has announced that a 6-part live-action mini-series to promote the upcoming psychological thriller, Alan Wake, kicks off this weekend on Xbox LIVE. Entitled Bright Falls, and shot on location in Oregon, USA, the mini-series plays out as a prequel to the game and promises to evoke "the same ghostly chills as 'Twin Peaks' did when it premiered 20 years ago this month."

The first two episodes of Bright Falls will be released exclusively to Xbox LIVE Gold members on 25 April, with Silvers getting access to it on the 26th, and then finally everyone else when it hits Brightfalls.com on the 27th. A new episode will be release every week, culminating in a "shocking conclusion" with the final 2 episodes on 17 May.

Check out the trailer below for Bright Falls.

Alan Wake is set for release in South Africa on 14 May.
