Mad Catz, already renowned for developing some of the best gaming accessories available, has announced a new publisher license agreement with Microsoft, setting the firm up to publish titles for the Xbox 360.
"The execution of the Xbox 360 Publisher License Agreement marks an important milestone as we pursue our longer term goal of expanding our participation in developing, publishing and distributing games." said Mad Catz Interactive CEO Darren Richardson.
This isn't the first we've heard of Mad Catz looking to extend its claws further into the gaming world. In May this year the company unveiled Thunderhawk Studios, an internal studio with the aim of "developing a series of MMO flight simulation games with the first game expected to launch in 2012."
"The addition of flight simulation games should leverage the market share leadership and global distribution enjoyed by our flight simulation hardware products," said Richardson.
Could this mean that we could soon see a massively multiplayer online flight sim headed to the Xbox 360? All the pieces are in place for that to happen, but for now it remains speculation.
