- Eurogamer: "Far more welcoming to button-mashers than Street Fighter IV, this is a game in which you can tap stuff and watch sparkly miracles happen." - 8/10
- GameInformer: "...you shouldn’t miss Marvel vs. Capcom 3 if you have even a passing interest in Capcom, Marvel, the fighting genre, or good games." - 9.25/10
- IGN: "Marvel vs. Capcom 3 doesn’t disappoint as a fighting game, even after a decade of waiting. It’s very much the same insane concept we know and love, which isn’t a bad thing." - 8.5/10
- Joystiq: "...a worthy sequel to one of the most beloved fighting games of all time, brought to a current-gen level. Expect this one to be in heavy rotation among fans of fighting games for a long time coming." - 5/5
- Metacritic: 87/100
With so much praise being heaped on the chaotic brilliance of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, this one looks set to wear your thumbs down to bloody stumps upon its local release at the end of this week.
