Capcom has announced the first downloadable content for Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds which gives gamers the chance to do battle with AI-controlled versions of famous Marvel vs. Capcom players and specific team themes in the new Shadow Mode.
Starting in March, a series of Shadow Mode packs will be released, each including three teams based on the playing syle and techniques of legendary gamers or other related personalities. The first such pack will feature Marvel vs. Capcom 3 producer Ryota Niitsuma, as well as the teams and AI personalities for Assistant Producer Akihito Kadowaki and a QA team leader. No pricing has been announced yet, but that's not to say it will be free - we all know how much Capcom likes to charge for things like this.
Update: Nu Metro has since confirmed that the local release will arrive earlier than previously expected, on 18 February.
Those who have been following this latest installment in the excellent Marvel vs. Capcom franchise will also be happy to hear that local distributor Nu Metro has confirmed to us that we can expect the beat-em-up to hit South African retailers on 25 February - ten days after the game's official US launch date.
