Although Mass Effect 2 has seemingly been on the back burner of many people’s minds, the DLC rumor mill is at it again and this time the source is none other than the Dragon Age 2 game box.
Shown in an unboxing video on YouTube, a flyer reveals what looks like Earth from space, with the printed text ‘The Arrival Has Begun' next to a large N7 logo. This isn't the first time we've heard about new Mass Effect 2 DLC, with a batch of Trophies showing up for Mass Effect 2 on PSN, all of which were linked to a DLC called ‘The Arrival’. Quite the coincidence.
From what can be siphoned from the Trophy descriptions, players will be in charge of rescuing Dr. Amanda Kenson - a scientist who led an investigation into possible life forms existing before the Protheans - and perhaps offering a way for BioWare to tie together the story from Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.
A little bit unnerving, though, is that so far only the PS3 versions of Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2 have contained any information on this possible new DLC, but it's unlikely BioWare will make ME2 DLC as important as this console exclusive - at least not permanently (i.e. timed exclusive).
