The multiplayer beta for the hotly anticipated modern military shooter Medal of Honor is in full swing on most platforms, with EA announcing that a second wave of the beta has begun, extending personal invites to many EA Playstation and PC gamers. So what exactly is happening with the Xbox 360 beta, and when will it start? Executive Producer of Medal of Honor, Greg Goodrich, offered up the following feedback.
Unfortunately, we have experienced a delay with the beta on the Xbox 360. To the Xbox 360 community, we say thank you for your patience. We are working to fix the issues that have caused this delay. We are eager to get the game up and running and look forward to receiving your constructive and candid feedback which will certainly help ensure the game exceeds expectations this Fall.
There's still no confirmation of when the Xbox 360 beta will actually start, only mentioning that it's "coming soon", but EA has confirmed that it will be extended to give gamers enough time to try it out.
When the Medal of Honor beta arrives on the Xbox 360, it will be open to players on that platform who have pre-ordered the game and will be extended to ensure Xbox 360 players have ample time to play and provide feedback for the final product.
Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer. On a positive note, the delay should mean that most of the bugs reported on the other platforms will be solved in the Xbox 360 beta when it's released.
Medal of Honor will hit retail stores on 15 October, with the Xbox 360 multiplayer beta somewhere in-between.
