I was just thinking the other day that the swimming game market is totally an untapped gold mine. And then, out of nowhere, 505 Games announces that American swimming champ Michael Phelps will be throwing his name away endorsing a new swimming game for Kinect! What a coincidence!
Blitz Games will be developing the new game, entitled Michael Phelps: Push the Limit, which sees players "thrown in to the exhilarating - yet physically demanding - world of competitive swimming, where you have to accurately master the different swimming strokes and techniques needed to become a pro."
The career mode will allow players to compete in a variety of tournaments, set in "truly breathtaking locations", such as a Japanese dojo, heated outdoor pools set against mountain ranges, or an 80,000 seat outdoor arena. Epic.
Michael Phelps: Push the Limit will be out this June, so the masses won't have to wait long before they can doggy paddle in front of their Kinects.
