We're having a bit of trouble keeping up with all the stuff that exploded out of Microsoft's E3 conference last night, so here's everything else in a convenient, easy-to-use, bulleted list:
- Zune video - Instant 1080p streaming video content, with no download delay. Because nobody needs an overpriced proprietary disc-based format when you have a harddrive and high speed broadband. Obviously, this service won't be available locally (go go 384k shaped, capped DSL, for epic win), but it's kind of a massive deal in the HD entertainment race.
- Sky TV - This is also pretty much "Oh" for us in South Africa, but Sky TV on your Xbox is huge news for people in the UK and Ireland. That humongous Sky box holds up valuable space on a shelf, you know. Also, apparently users will be able to share this service with up to seven pals using an Xbox LIVE party.
- Last.fm - If you've never checked it out before, Last.fm's music streaming service is totally awesome. Now it's on Xbox Live.
- Games on Demand - Think Steam or D2D, but on your Xbox. Complete game downloads straight to your console, so you'll never have to leave the house ever again. Which rules, because it's so scary out there. With the Seacom cable going live soon, we might even be able to use this service too.
- Facebook and Twitter - Yes, they're coming to your Xbox too. The world will never be the same.
- Avatar Marketplace - Oh, it was always going to arrive at some point, wasn't it? Well, it has. Spend real life cash on premium clothing and accessories for your virtual you.
- Dedicated music games stores - Browsing through all that other junk is such a hassle when all you're looking for is the latest DLC for Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and Lips. So now they'll have their own special stores on the Marketplace.
- Joyride - It's some sort of racing game with, like, cars and Xbox avatars. Oh, I lost you at Avatars, didn't I? At least it's free... until you decide to splash out on accessories, that is.
