According to Xbox South Africa's Twitter stream, a Free Xbox LIVE weekend event, dubbed Xbox Nations, will take place over the Easter weekend, kicking off on Thursday, 21 April and going all the way through to Monday, 25 April.

The event is tagged "Play for your nation" - showing the flags of Norway, Russia, Finland, Greece, United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, South Africa and Portugal - and the tweet reads, "We are plotting setting a new Guiness World Record, but need your help!". Additional details are promised at some later point, but the image above does indicate that it will happen at 6PM on Saturday, 23 April.

How very intriguing.

Update: Microsoft has confirmed that the Guinness World Record attempt will be for the "largest online 100m sprint" in Kinect Sports over Xbox LIVE. Participants can represent their nation and "make history" at 7PM (GMT 2+) on  Saturday 23rd April.
