Reaffirming their statement from earlier this year, Microsoft has once again said that Halo: Reach will be the biggest game of 2010, outselling Activision's next iteration in the hugely popular Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops.
"It's going to be a really good fight and yes I do [believe it]," said Xbox UK boss Stephen McGill on Halo: Reach's chances. "We have huge expectations. More than 34 million people have bought [a Halo game] and those people are going to want to play Halo: Reach. We're going to do incredibly well."
Not just at retail, mind you, but they're also anticipating some significant success with the critics. The game's review embargo lifts sometime on Sunday, and McGill's expecting "very good, very high, glowing reviews".
You'll be able to find out for yourself whether Halo: Reach can live up to the hype when it launches world wide (including South Africa) on Tuesday, 14 September.
