Xbox Gaming in South Africa

If you've been wondering why you should migrate your reasonably good international Xbox LIVE account to a South Africa, here's a pretty good reason: Microsoft will give you up to 1600 MS Points absolutely free!

Announced at the Xbox LIVE and Kinect launch event this evening in Johannesburg, Microsoft's Robin Burrowes revealed that South Africans who migrate their Xbox LIVE account between 10 November 2010 and 10 January 2011 will receive between 800 and 1600 free MS Points. The amount, according to an interview with Talk Radio 702's Aki Anastasiou, is decided on by how much gaming content you've downloaded in the past.

So there you go. If you needed a reason, you probably won't find any better than that!

Update: As with any promotion involving free MS Points on Xbox LIVE, it will likely take a few weeks before you receive your free migration bonus.
