Infinity Ward has released yet another patch for the popular shooter Modern Warfare 2 over Xbox LIVE. The newest update takes care of, most notably, the "infinite care package" exploit, as well as preventing various XP hacks.

The full list of fixes are as follows:

  • Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
  • Fix for "infinite care package" exploit.
  • Sentry Guns - Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
  • Model 1887 - Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
  • Fixes to prevent various XP hacks. (including the prevention of negative XP)

It probably won't be long before some fool finds a way to get "unlimited nukes", so you'd better get in there fast while there's a level playing field to be had. Of course, it also means you have nothing to blame your poor K/D on - barring the usual "lag".
