Xbox Gaming in South Africa

Robert Bowling, the go-to-guy for all things Modern Warfare 2 related, has announced via Twitter that Modern Warfare 2 has reached 25 million unique players across all formats.

Fanboys and scorekeepers will be interested to note that the majority of those have been Xbox 360 gamers, with PS3 users "a close second to that."

The next big thing for Modern Warfare 2 fans is of course the highly anticipated multiplayer DLC, and according to Bowling, it will finally be given a release date (and presumably detailed) this week. In addition, there's mention of a possible double-XP weekend to coincide with the DLC launch.

Time to brush up on those skills then.
