It's a big day for Modern Warfare 2 - there's a new title update, the Stimulus Package DLC is available now on Xbox LIVE (albeit some teething issues), there are new playlists, and there's double XP to be had. Well, for anyone who shells out 1200 MSP for the DLC, anyway.
The title update includes tweaks to the One Man Army perks, as well as a number of matchmaking fixes aimed at prioritising and improving low ping detection when searching for games.
The Stimulus Package adds five new maps to the game - Bailout, Salvage, Storm, and COD4 classics Crash and Overgrown - in two new dedicated playlists, Stimulus and Hardcore Stimulus. Until the end of this weekend, these playlists are awarding double XP.
Elsewhere, the Ranger maps (Highrise, Invasion, Skidrow, and Terminal) have been added to the Hardcore HQ playlists, apparently due to popular demand.
The Stimulus Package DLC (329MB) can be queued over here for 1200 MS Points, and it's advised that you get it earlier rather than later. Call of Duty DLC has a habit of becoming region blocked.
Note: There's a delay with the title update which is causing a problem with the new DLC. Although you can download the new DLC, I'd recommend waiting until the title update is available before playing on the new maps. Fixed.
P.S. Don't forget, we're giving away 1200 MS Points in our Modern Warfare 2 DLC competition which ends at 5PM today. Don't miss out!
