Remedy Entertainment has made it known that there is definitely more Alan Wake on the way, but that it won't be Alan Wake 2. The Finnish developer was prompted to confirm the existence of a new Alan Wake project after an artist's CV - which listed pre-visualisation work done on Alan Wake 2 - was spotted on LinkedIn.

Oskari Hakkinen, head of franchise development at Remedy, spoke to Eurogamer and made it clear that the next Alan Wake is under development, and has been for "the last months":

"Fans of the franchise will be excited to learn that yes, more Wake is coming! But to be absolutely certain to avoid confusion, this next Wake instalment will not be Alan Wake 2. And neither will it be DLC. The rest we're saving for our official announcement when we'll actually show you."

How long are we going to have to wait for Alan Wake to return to our screens? Hakkinen wasn't giving too much away, but suggested that "Fall 2011 is probably a good guess".
