New Dance Central & Kinect Sports sequels announced

Kinect Sports 2 & Dance Central 2

Thanks to Microsoft, going outside and playing sports or getting down with some tunes in the club is now only a Kinect away. But that was a year ago and it seems people are once again going outside - which of course, just won't do. So, it was no great surprise when two of the more successful Kinect titles - Dance Central and Kinect Sports - both got sequel announcements during the Xbox 360 E3 briefing.

First up is Kinect Sports: Season Two, which introduces six new sports to the Kinect Sports package. You can now try your hand at American Football, Golf, Baseball, Winter Skiing, Darts and Tennis, all in the comfort and safety of your own living room. Each game will feature three difficulty settings, ranging from rookie to champion, and the Quick Play option lets you jump into the fun without any hassle. Season Two will also showcase new Kinect innovations such as vocally calling a play in Football or taking a knee to inspect the green in Golf.

In follow up to the best-selling Kinect dance game, Dance Central 2, Harmonix will be introducing a new multiplayer element, which at least means the embarrassment spotlight will now be shared between you and a friend while the rest of the party laughs at you. You will be able to either dance collaboratively in the “Perform It!” mode, or face off in the ultimate virtual head-to-head dance off in Dance Battle. All this dance floor mayhem will be accompanied by hit tracks from artists such as Usher, Rihanna, La Roux, Nicki Minaj, Montell Jordan and more, but as an additional bonus you will be able to import all your favourite tracks from the first game.

Kinect Sports: Season Two will be out by the end of the year and look for Dance Central 2 sometime during 2012.
