Have you recently pre-ordered the new Xbox 360 S 4GB console, and don't want to go through the hassle of saving yourself money and altering your order to the 250GB version? Well, do we have good news for you, because the Xbox 360 S 250GB standalone hard drive is now available in South Africa.
Take 2 is the first off the mark, listing the new hard drive at a recommended retail price of R899, with their selling price slightly less at R832 - which is actually pretty good considering the difference between the 4GB and 250GB version is around R780. Other online retailers have yet to list the item, however, we suspect you won't see it much lower than R800.
Of course, this really is irrelevant for most, because Microsoft SA has decided that making people wait 4 months for new hardware "is just good marketing", or something, and the new Xbox 360 S console still isn't even available locally. So, if you've decided that a 250GB version is really what you need (and it should be since the 4GB isn't nearly enough), then just alter your pre-order and you're all set.
For those who're wondering, the new Xbox 360 S console is "expected" to launch on 1 October in South Africa.
