New Xbox 360 S UK release outshines PS2 & PS3 Slim launches

New Xbox 360 S

They say a bit of change can do you the world of good and that seems to be especially true when it comes to gaming hardware, with UK sales figures showing that the new Xbox 360 S has sold more than both the PS2 Slim and PS3 Slim on launch, according to GfK Chart Track.

Besides being the best launch for a 'revised' home console in the UK, the new Xbox 360 S is matching the original console in terms of launch sales, with around the same number of new "S" consoles being sold in the first two days as its older sibling did back in 2005.

The new Xbox 360 S has yet to receive a South African release date, but hopefully we'll see it sometime in September.

The 4GB is set to sell at R2,399.99, while the 250GB "Elite" has yet to be priced. It will likely be R3,699 though.
