Microsoft has started to "gradually" roll out the latest Xbox 360 system update over Xbox LIVE, bringing with it three notable new features: Payal integration, a new auto-standby feature and support for improved storage capacity on Xbox 360 game discs.

Paypal has been available through Xbox.com in some territories and in a limited capacity for some time already, but the latest update adds full integration, offering Paypal as a billing option allowing users to make purchases on their Xbox 360 consoles with their PayPal accounts. Unfortunately, as with most features such as this region restrictions apply, and will not be available in the following countries: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Hungary, India, Japan, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan.

Sigh... anyways, we will get the new auto-standby feature which places your Xbox 360 into a standby mode if it's idle for more than 1 hour, helping to reduce power consumption. The feature will be automatically enabled after downloading the update, but you can change the setting through the System Settings section on your console.

Finally, the new update is supposed to bring with it support for improved capacity thanks to a new Xbox 360 game disc format - around 1GB - along with new anti-piracy checks.

The new update will be deployed to Xbox 360's across the world "throughout the next couple weeks" over Xbox LIVE, so don't worry if you don't get a notification of the update straight away.
