Xbox Gaming in South Africa

Oh, you've heard about the freebie bonus DLC code shipping with all copies of Alan Wake? Well, you're not getting it. Once again, South Africa's lack of local LIVE support means we're screwed out of stuff.

XG contacted Microsoft SA's Xbox product and marketing manager, Yvette van Rooyen, and got this response.

Legally we are not allowed to put Live content into the Non Live countries... There will be no Live related content in the [Limited Collector's Edition] version of Alan Wake.

That presumably extends to the standard edition too.
