Xbox Gaming in South Africa

PayPal has been available to US Xbox LIVE subscribers for some time already, but the payment service is currently only supported on Xbox.com. This might be set to change, however. According to a report on the Forbes blog, PayPal could be heading for a complete console integration.

The article cites PayPal VP of global product strategy, Sam Shrauger, who apparently "expects consoles to support payments and other monetary transactions via the service in the near future", adding that "developers are already working on solutions."

While there's no mention of which consoles are being looked at, such an implementation could be used on the Xbox 360 to help facilitate the upcoming rollout of Xbox LIVE to new regions, including South Africa, in November.
