We loved Portal 2, going as far as to call it a serious contender for game of the year, and it would seem we are not alone. Valve has announced that the action puzzle masterpiece has sold over 3 million copies since launch.
The announcement came during the Games for Learning Institute's Games for Change conference, where Valve boss Gabe Newell mentioned the impressive sales figure without much fanfare, according to a CVG report.
How does that compare to the original Portal's success? Well, in April this year it was revealed that the series progenitor was nearing the four million sales mark at retail (so excluding sales via Valve's Steam platform).
While it's still too early to call it, don't be surprised to see Portal 2 eventually (and deservedly) outsell its predecessor.
