Even the most fervent anti-Microsoft activists must admit that things are looking a lot better these days when it comes to Xbox 360 hardware failures, but let's not kid ourselves, it still happens. When it does, Powercare are the people we run to for help in SA, and things have gotten a bit easier thanks to their new website.

The Powercare website now offers gamers a way to skip the paperwork by logging a repair claim directly using their new online form. Obviously, the ideal situation would be that you never need repair work done, but this sure does make the whole thing simpler and more user friendly.

You can still submit your warranty claim via other methods such as email and fax, so be sure to check out XG's Xbox 360 replacement guide and How the Xbox 360 warranty works pages for all the lowdown.

Finally! I'm gad that we've got some semblance of new fangled technology, i.e. the internet, making an appearance in the local repairs procedure. Hopefully at some point we'll be able to track our consoles throughout the repair procedure as well.
