Private chat blocked in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer?

According to a rather blurry screenshot taken off a leaked copy of Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward intends to block private chat, and possibly party chat, in the online multiplayer modes of the upcoming shooter.

The reason behind such a move would be to prevent cheaters from revealing important game information, such as enemy locations, during tactical team games. Of course, this probably means that everyone sitting in party chat to avoid the overwhelming dumb of public lobbies dips out too.

Infinity Ward has yet to confirm the details under which this restriction will come into place, so we'll hold judgement until more information is available.

This is true. Played the premier last night and our party had a choice when entering multiplayer mode on xbox live: leave game and stay in party chat or enter game chat mode and play. We had to listen to all the tweenies trying to sound cool.

The new game does rock though!

I love gaming and that's the reason I am here. Modern Warfare 2 is one of my favourite games. I liked that the private chat has been blocked, it was always a problem with possibility of leaking such vital information of the players.
