Move over Modern Warfare 2, there's a new sheriff in town. That's right, Rockstar Games' wild west adventure Red Dead Redemption has snatched the top spot on the local Xbox LIVE charts from Soap McTavish and his posse.
It's not the first time MW2 has been beaten, but not since its launch last year has Infinity Ward's military shooter been so soundly thrashed, with RDR getting double the amount of players. Battlefield: Bad Company 2, a previous contender for the throne, has been pushed down to 4th, with Gears of War 2 taking the bronze medal.
Skate 3 also makes its debut this week, albeit in last position. FIFA 10 is back too, joining 2010 FIFA World Cup SA on the chart. Halo 3 is nowhere to be seen this week, and while it may not be such a big surprise to see Call of Duty 4 slip off the chart, I didn't expect Splinter Cell: Conviction to sneak off into the shadows so soon.
Below is the full Top 10 list:
- Red Dead Redemption
- Modern Warfare 2
- Gears of War 2
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2
- 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
