Xbox Gaming in South Africa

THQ's first Red Faction downloadable game, Red Faction: Battlegrounds, is set to bring its destruction-derby styled vehicular combat to the Xbox LIVE Arcade in the first week of April, according to Eurogamer.

The exact release date has not been confirmed, but considering XBLA games release on Wednesdays, we'll likely see Red Faction: Battlegrounds on 6 April.

It may be a far cry from the usual gameplay that fans of the series have become accustomed to, but as Volition's Eric Barker put it, "it's a great little bite-sized thing to keep people engaged in the universe and still have a lot of fun." Sounds good to us.
