TimeGate Studios has announced that their recent Xbox LIVE Arcade shooter Section 8: Prejudice is getting rentable dedicated servers across the globe thanks to an exclusive partnership with GameServers.com.
GameServers.com recently added two South African hosting locations - Johannesburg and Cape Town - making Section 8: Prejudice the first Xbox 360 game to get true dedicated servers in South Africa.
Each dedicated server can be customized depending on the amount of players and extras, with prices ranging from $12.95 (R90) for 10-players, to $41.55 (R295) for the full 32-player support per month.
"We’re excited to provide this feature to the Xbox 360 community," said Adel Chaveleh, President of TimeGate Studios. "Players who rent dedicated servers from GameServers can customize their server so they can play with their clans and friends how and when they want. It’s all about giving more control to the player. Our partnership with GameServers helps us provide a quality service for Xbox gamers never seen before, and we’re proud to reveal this feature for Section 8: Prejudice in a manner that makes setup and management of a dedicated server a no-brainer."
While it's great news that local Xbox 360 gamers can finally enjoy proper local dedicated servers (albeit at a price), there's still one glaring issue: Section 8: Prejudice isn't available on the South African Xbox LIVE Marketplace. So UK/US accounts for those interested.
