A Japanese magazine, Famitsu, has reported that the Resident Evil 5 demo will be out on Xbox Live Marketplace starting December 5th. The demo will include 2 stages set in an urban setting, and will be playable in both single player and multiplayer co-op.
But before you start celebrating, Famitsu is based in Japan, therefore, we can only confirm the demo release in that region. With Capcom - the developers and publishers behind RE5 - being based in Japan, the region is seeing benefits such as an earlier release date, so the demo might not be available to the rest of us for another week or so. Hopefully it turns out to be a world wide release!
[UPDATE] Capcom has noted on their blog that a demo will coming out at a later date for the rest of the world - so either late December or early 2009.
[UPDATE 2] Resident Evil 5 World Wide demo has been confirmed for Xbox Live, coming January 26 2009.
