Local online retailers have put a price to the recently announced Call of Duty: Black Ops Prestige Edition, which is packed full of Call of Duty: Black Ops paraphernalia, and topped off with a real-life remote-controlled vehicle modeled after the in-game RC-XD killstreak reward! While local distributor Megarom has indicated that the current recommended retail price is not yet final, it's looking far more reasonable than last years NVG-packing Prestige Edition which just about broke the bank.
A quick glance over at Kalahari.net sees the Prestige Edition selling for R1123.16, while Take 2's pricing isn't far off that mark at R1142.00. Considering that UK retailers are offering it for closer to R1600 a pop, the current local pricing is excellent. I'll stick my neck out and say it's a pretty safe bet that RRP of R1299 is unlikely to drop much, but there's every chance that they could go up as we get closer to launch day, so now is as good a time as any to get those pre-orders in.
As soon as Megarom can give us confirmation on a definite local price we will be sure to let you know. In the meantime, start saving those rands and cents for this one when it lands in November.
