Rockstar to clamp down on Red Dead Redemption cheaters

So, you're moseying out of the saloon at noon, when suddenly a dirty bandit cruises straight through a wall and shoots you in the head. Is he magical? No, he's a low down dirty cheat, and his days are numbered.

Rockstar has announced plans to take down all the bad apples who are up to no good in Red Dead Redemption's multiplayer game, thanks to a new title update which will be out within the next month.

Along with the ability to seek and destroy (well, ban) cheaters and hackers, the update will also add a few new elements in Free Roam, including a new transportation option for those being bullied, as well as a new "Most Wanted" alert placed on those who reach a 6 kill streak on the same human player, putting a proverbial target on their backs and sending a NPC lawman after them.

The title update will likely land just in time for the first of four new DLC packs which are set to release on Xbox LIVE starting in August with the Legends and Killers Pack.
