Good news for rugby fans, the highly anticipated rugby sim Rugby Challenge will be available in South Africa, according to Tweet by local retailer BT Games.
"WE ARE GETTING RUGBY CHALLENGE! GAME GOES UP TODAY FOR PRE-ORDER!"
No official word yet from any local distributors, so BT Games may be jumping the gun here, but considering the popularity of Rugby Challenge with local gamers, it does seem inevitable that a distributor will pick up the title in SA.
Update 2: It's official. Megarom is bringing Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge to South Africa. Read all about it over here.
Rugby Challenge is going up against another rugby sim, Rugby World Cup 2011, this year, and although it doesn't feature any SA Rugby licenses, the inclusion of an extensive Player Editor and a host of licenses including the Tri Nations (partial license), Super Rugby (NZ and Aussie teams only) and Aviva Premiership, makes it a tempting option for rugby fans.
Hopefully we'll hear an official announcement soon. Stay tuned.
Update: The pre-order page is now up on BT Games.
