Duke Nukem Forever, the game that just refuses to die, is apparently back in development over at Borderlands' dev Gearbox Software, according to Kotaku. Perhaps significantly, the same studio was previously outed as the developer for scrapped spin-off title, Duke Begins.

Sources are also claiming a playable demo will be out this year. Queried by Kotaku, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford declined comment, saying only that he'd clarify the situation at the Penny Arcade Expo in September. Situation? What situation, Randy?
