Konami has announced that a follow-up to the eighties action romp Rush'N Attack (or Green Beret, as it was labelled here in SA) is under development, with Rush'N Attack Ex-Patriot coming to the Xbox LIVE Arcade in Spring 2010.
In Rush‘N Attack Ex-Patriot, a clandestine struggle exists between Russia and the United States for military intelligence during the shadows of the Cold War. Through three massive environments of a Siberian prison complex, a bio-weapons laboratory, and a nuclear weapons base players will need to complete a variety of missions and survive encounters with elite Russian soldiers.
The story takes place in a shadowy complex, is powered by the Unreal Engine and features "multiple levels full of hidden items, secret locations, and relentless soldiers trying to track you down". So far it's looking quite slick, but somewhat familiar... I can't quite put my finger on it.
