The complete lack of new information or media for 2K Games' Spec Ops: The Line was a bit of a giveaway, but Take-Two Interactive has now confirmed that the third-person military shooter won't be battling it out with the other big-name shooters later this year, but rather will now release sometime in the company's fiscal 2013 period (April - September 2012).

Spec Ops: The Line was originally announced in 2009 and focuses on an elite Delta force team who are are sent into a post-apocalyptic, sandstorm-ravaged Dubai where they must track down and bring home a U.S. Army Colonel.

Until 2012 then.
