It's been a while since we've heard anything substantial about Spec Ops: The Line, 2K Games' first crack at the popular modern military shooter genre, but that doesn't mean it's been buried in the sand - today the developer revealed a brand new trailer, titled The Journey, giving gamers a glimpse of a story set deep inside a sandstorm-ravaged Dubai.
"With all of its grandeur and opulence, Dubai provides the perfect backdrop to play out Spec Ops: The Line's deep and complex narrative. This bold endeavor harnesses 2K's pedigree of creating fascinating stories, settings and worlds to create an aggressive narrative and environment that you won't find in other games on the market," said 2K boss Christoph Hartmann. "Wartime narratives evoke emotion like few things else in our culture. Players will fight through this hostile environment in Spec Ops: The Line, creating a raw and unique video game experience."
Spec Ops: The Line is still some way off, set for release sometime in autumn 2012.
