Xbox Gaming in South Africa

It's human nature to want to be the best, right? And what's the point of being the best if no one ever gets to hear about it? Be happy, then, that local console gamers will soon be able to prove their superiority over fellow gamers with the addition of Xbox LIVE gaming to the Telkom Do Gaming Online League for 2010.

The new league, which starts on 5 April 2010, will include the following titles for competitive play:

• Modern Warfare 2
• Forza 3
• FIFA 10
• Guitar Hero 5

The matches will take place in a round-robin tournament style, with group stages where needed. Players are expected to have, at minimum, a 512k ADSL line and an Xbox LIVE Gold membership.

This really is a great way to increase awareness of the online console gaming scene in SA, so If you consider yourself deadly with a pistol/steering wheel/football/plastic guitar, be sure to register for the league once registrations open in February.
